Paarl, 50km North-East of Cape Town, is the third oldest town in South Africa. Standing tall on Paarl Mountain and celebrating the birth of Afrikaans is the Afrikaans Language Monument. Just outside Paarl is Drakenstein Prison where Nelson Mandela spent his last years in captivity and started his walk to freedom. Today, Paarl is home to a very culturally diverse community, the product of its unique history. We look forward to welcoming you to our valley.
